Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Manager/Senior Leader of Manufacturing Process Design to architect production ecosystems. You will bridge R&D and shop floor, integrating Yamazumi-based balancing with high-fidelity DES to optimize lines before production begins.

You will lead DFM/DFA reviews, virtual commissioning, and data-driven validation while guiding a team of engineers toward a flawless global launch and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred with 15+ years’ experience in manufacturing process design for power electronics.
• Experience leading DFM/DFA reviews and launching high-volume products internationally.
• Proficiency in CAD and high-fidelity simulation tools; strong data visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI design integration with R&D to embed manufacturing constraints before design freeze.
• Balance processes to Takts time using Yamazumi modeling and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Oversee DES models translating line-balancing data into simulations to validate throughput.
• Direct DFM/DFA reviews and gate manufacturability to minimize ECOs.
• Perform virtual commissioning, IQ/OQ/PQ validation for equipment selections.
• Lead root cause analysis with Six Sigma and feed real-time data into models.
• Coordinate cross-functional launch and cradle-to-grave handoffs to production.
• Mentor engineers in Yamazumi, DFM/DFA, and advanced manufacturing tech.
