Outset Medical, Inc. seeks a Sr. Accounts Receivable Accountant to lead billing and collections, and drive continuous improvement for AR processes.

This role collaborates with IT, Customer Services, Commercial teams, and customers to meet company goals and ensure accurate invoicing and timely cash collection. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AR or related accounting functions, strong Excel and ERP experience, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including Accounts Receivable or related functions.
• Experience working with ERP systems (QAD preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of SOX-compliant internal controls.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and dispute resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to be a solutions-oriented team player.

Responsabilidades

• Review customer contracts to ensure billings are created in accordance with contract terms.
• Generate invoices and apply collected cash to close out invoices on a daily basis
• Resolve customer’s billing issues by partnering with the Customer Service and Sales team to facilitate collection efforts
• Make outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
• Provide timely follow-up upon payment arrangements
• Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management
• Partner with the Customer Service team to process, setup, and maintain customer accounts
• Assist in preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns, and other statutory requirements
• Assist with month-end close including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Lead, as a SME, in business process improvement and system enhancement projects as needed
• Assist with projects as needed

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics

Master’s degree or MBA

5+ years of accounting experience, including Accounts Receivable

Strong English communication

SOX internal controls knowledge
