Job summary

Mastercard in Mexico City seeks a seasoned Applications Support Engineer to drive production readiness and reliability across platforms. The role focuses on operational design, automation, capacity planning and monitoring to deliver resilient, scalable services.

You will work with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and global teams to ensure high availability and rapid incident resolution in a fast paced payments environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 6–10 years hands‑on UNIX/Linux, scripting and automation.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL databases and CI/CD pipelines.
• DevOps practices and cloud experience (AWS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
• Monitor availability, latency, and system health; scale systems via automation.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices across environments.
• Lead incident response with blameless postmortems and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with global teams across geographies to deliver reliable services.
