Xylem is seeking an Applications Engineer located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, to provide engineering and technical support for their Vertical Turbine Pump product lines. This role involves collaborating with sales and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met effectively.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience related to rotating equipment and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with CRM and ERP tools is also essential. The position offers opportunities to engage in a dynamic engineering environment.

Job Description

Provide engineering and technical support for custom engineered product lines from preliminary and design phases through completed contracts. Work along with the application engineering supervisor to support a global Xylem sales team as well as distributors and representatives to provide product support thru specification review, cost estimates, proposal creation.

THE ROLE

The Applications Engineer will be responsible for providing cordial, timely, and accurate Vertical Turbine Pump product and order support. This role will collaborate with other technical and engineering groups, production, and sales to understand the needs and desires of the customers and provide them with service levels that meet or exceed customer expectations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Applications Engineering support to channel partners, distributors and end users
• Provide optimal design selections based on customer requirements.
• Estimate project costing and negotiate lead times.
• Collaborate with purchasing team and other stakeholders to obtain costing for components as required
• Support maintenance of CRM funnel to ensure opportunity visibility by field sales team.
• Develop technical depth and understanding of Xylem products and applications.
• Conduct Project Engineering activities during submittal development and order fulfillment
• Collaborate with other technical and engineering groups to provide the required customer solution.
• Proactively anticipate and mitigate risk
• Provide timely responses to inquiries.
• Meet or exceed established SLA and required metrics.

• Support timely order entry, delivery and order status.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Three to Five years+ related experience with rotating equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of pump hydraulics, mechanics and construction
• Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Configure Price Quote (CPQ), and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools

PLUSES

• Salesforce and Pump selection software experience is a plus.
• Ability to work with ambiguity, manage multiple projects at once, and review technical documents and drawings.
• Ability to be self-managing and self-leading.
• Experience in Municipal and Industrial Projects.
