Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Finance professional to analyze, record and report accounting transactions, prepare general ledger entries, reconciliations and financial statements. The role requires collaboration with Sales, Tax and external auditors to ensure compliance and to support financial reporting.

Candidates should have 3+ years of accounting and finance experience, strong English skills and a proven ability to strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent in English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, records and reports accounting transactions promptly.
• Prepares general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Prepares balance sheets and P&L statements and other schedules.
• Responds to inquiries from management, auditors and SOX group.
• Reviews internal controls and develops improvements.
• Implements best-practice accounting procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of financial information.
• Leads the Mexico Trading general ledger collaboration with Sales and Tax.
