Job summary

Relay Human Cloud in CDMX is seeking a full-time corporate accountant to own regulatory compliance, the fixed asset lifecycle, and ASC 842 lease accounting, supporting the close process and process documentation.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency with PlateIQ, Toast (POS), Excel, and California and municipal filing portals; English level C1 is required. This is an on-site role in CDMX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with corporate accounting or tax filings is a plus.
• English proficiency (C1) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file California sales and use tax returns and prepayments with the CDTFA and assemble location-based detail.
• Prepare and file Business Property Statements (Form 571-L) for all locations; track invoices and submit for payment.
• Manage sales and use tax audits and property tax assessment appeals; coordinate with advisors and prepare audit schedules.
• Prepare and file San Francisco Gross Receipts Tax returns and estimates via the SF portal.
• Own the fixed asset lifecycle: acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, disposal, retirement.
• Own ASC 842 lease accounting: manage leases, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures.
