Watershed in Mexico City is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to own core GL close, month-end close, and the financial reporting engine for a US GAAP-based global operation.

You will manage carbon credits accounting, intercompany support, and tax compliance, partnering with FP&A, Sales, and Payroll to deliver audit-ready books and scalable processes. The role emphasizes automation, AI tooling, and modern workflows.

Formación

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in Big 4 or high-growth SaaS.
• Strong command of US GAAP across core GL areas.
• Experience owning month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Workday) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

• Own the GL close for core balance sheet accounts.
• Record SBC journal entries and reconcile equity balances.
• Prepare monthly US GAAP financial statements and enforce cutoff discipline.
• Perform monthly flux analysis to explain drivers and trends.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Own end-to-end accounting for carbon credits offerings.
• Manage cash reconciliations and marketable securities accounting.
• Support intercompany framework and tax filings.
• Develop workflows and AI automation in accounting processes.
