Job summary

Stori is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Global Accounting and Tax team in Mexico. You will oversee operating expenses, manage intercompany transactions, and partner with department leads to analyze spend and variances.

You will lead month-end close activities, support audits, and drive scalable automation across the accounting function. You should have a college degree in accounting or related fields, strong US GAAP knowledge, CNBV/SAT familiarity, and advanced English.

Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of CNBV and SAT requirements.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage all company operating expenses across Clara/Coupa/NetSuite.
• Partner with department leads to review spend, explain monthly variances, and support budget vs actual analysis.
• Lead month-end close activities for operating expenses, including accruals, prepaids, and reclasses.
• Prepare and maintain monthly intercompany transactions and service fee records, along with reconciliations.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for key expense and clearing accounts.
• Record and reconcile foreign currency transactions across multiple currencies and entities.
• Support internal and external audit requests related to expenses, controls, and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement scalable improvements.
• Research and resolve complex accounting issues as they arise.
