IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, and health sciences. The Senior Scientist role is based on-site in Tlalnepantla, Mexico, working in a state-of-the-art analytical lab to generate actionable insights for fragrance portfolio development and AI-driven innovation.

The candidate will perform fragrance extraction, GC/MS profiling, and manage high-throughput workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive automation and IP development.

Formación

• Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry or closely related field.
• PhD is preferred for this role.
• 7+ years in analytical chemistry within fragrance, consumer goods, biotech, pharma, or related industries.

The Senior Scientist role is based in Tlalnepantla, Mexico (on site role). What Makes You the Right Fit

• Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry or closely related scientific field (PhD preferred)
• Minimum 7 years in analytical chemistry within fragrance, consumer goods, biotech, pharma, or related industries
• Proven ability to design experiments and solve complex analytical challenges
• Hands-on experience with GC/MS operation and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of fragrance composition, essential oils, aroma chemicals, and specialty bases
• Familiarity with automation, robotics, and high-throughput analytical systems
• Advanced data processing, interpretation, and management capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong expertise in analytical chemistry (Master's or PhD), ideally gained in the fragrance industry
