Carrier Corporation is seeking an RTR Accounting Specialist in Santa Catarina, Mexico. The role focuses on executing and analyzing a wide range of general accounting activities to support financial reporting and compliance, including close activities, budgeting, and audits.

The candidate will maintain strong internal controls and contribute to process improvements. A bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 3 years of accounting experience are required, with advanced English and SAP

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience performing month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Experience with SAP and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Managing and analyzing accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing and maintaining general ledger entries including project/government accounting.
• Performing monthly and quarterly close and consolidation activities.
• Developing and documenting accounting policies, procedures, and control processes.
• Preparing budgets and forecasts and analyzing variances.
• Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring compliance.
• Leading small projects and driving process improvements.

About the role

As a RTR Accounting Specialist, you will execute and analyze a wide range of general accounting activities that support the integrity of financial reporting and compliance. In this role, you will contribute to key processes including financial reporting, close activities, budgeting, and audits, while also supporting business operations through insightful financial analysis. You will play a vital role in maintaining strong internal controls and driving continuous improvement across accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and analyzing accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Preparing and maintaining general ledger entries, including project and/or government accounting activities
• Performing monthly and quarterly close and consolidation activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Developing and documenting accounting policies, procedures, and control processes
• Preparing budgets and forecasts and analyzing variances between actual and planned results
• Analyzing business operations, costs, revenues, and financial commitments to accurately reflect financial position
• Supporting internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and timely completion
• Leading small‑scale projects and contributing to process improvement initiatives

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience performing month‑end and quarter‑end close activities
• Advanced English proficiency
• Advanced degree in Accounting or a related field
• Experience working with ERP systems
• SAP experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
