Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an Accounting & Controllership Specialist to join its Commercial HVAC team in Monterrey. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and business support, with emphasis on month-end close and tax reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 4+ years in financial accounting, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 4+ years of experience in Financial Accounting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Support month-end close and reporting by preparing journal entries and deliverables.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Provide accounting support to finance teams and field ops.
• Submit timely reporting deliverables to consolidations team.
• Manage monthly Sales & Use Tax reporting and reconciliations.
• Record monthly revenue and AP accruals and perform variance analysis.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide accounting guidance and issue credit memos.

About the Role

Carrier is seeking an Specialist, Accounting & Controllership to join our Commercial HVAC team. This role is ideal for a motivated and analytical accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow their career. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting business operations, and contributing to Carrier’s continued legacy of financial strength and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the month-end financial close and reporting process by preparing journal entries and completing required deliverables.

• Preparing timely balance sheet account reconciliations and ensuring compliance with Carrier accounting standards.

• Providing accounting support to finance teams and field operations.

• Submitting timely and accurate reporting deliverables to the consolidations team.

• Managing monthly Sales & Use Tax reporting and related account reconciliations.

• Recording monthly revenue and accounts payable accruals and performing variance analysis.

• Partnering with business stakeholders to provide accounting guidance, issue credit memos, and explain financial results.

• Collaborating with the team to maintain a strong internal control environment.

• Maintaining standard work documentation for accounting processes and procedures.

• Supporting special projects and ad hoc assignments as requested by the Accounting Supervisor.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative, and driven by continuous improvement.

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 4+ years of experience in Financial Accounting.

• Demonstrated knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.

Although Not Necessary, It Would Be Nice If You Have:

• Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA.

• Experience in public accounting or within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working with SAP ERP systems.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present recommendations to management both verbally and in writing.

• Fluency in English.
