Job summary

Nouryon is seeking an entry-level RTR Accountant I in Mexico City to support core Record-to-Report activities. You will maintain accurate financial records, assist with reconciliations, and help with audits and reporting. This role offers exposure to global accounting processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will handle provisions, reconciliations, and posting while ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting. Fluency in English is required to work with international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience or similar roles.
• Fluent English is required for global team communication.

About the Job

We’re looking for an RTR Accountant I to join our team and support core Record-to-Report (RTR) activities. This is an entry-level accounting role where you’ll focus on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reconciliations, and assisting with audits and reporting. You’ll also collaborate with different teams and build a strong foundation in global accounting processes.

In your future role as RTR Accountant I, you will

• Manage provisions
• Maintain balances aligned with reports from respective teams
• Prepare reconciliations and supporting workpapers
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Handle Concur accounts
• Keep accounts clean and up to date
• Follow up on discrepancies
• Extract reports to fund accounts
• Support Customs processes
• Reconcile advance payment reports
• Share reports for invoice registration
• Record transactions without purchase orders
• Oversee internal invoices
• Track invoice requests
• Post accounting entries
• Maintain invoice control
• Audit support
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Support audit activities in Mexico
• Perform reconciliations
• Complete monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations (BSAR)
• Collaborate with teams
• Work closely with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting

We believe you bring

• Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Experience 1–2 years in accounting or similar roles
• Skills Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines Team player with solid interpersonal skills Proficiency in: Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook
• Language Fluent English (required) You’ll be working and communicating regularly with global teams , so strong written and verbal English is key
• Availability to work fully on-site (Monday–Friday) at our office in Insurgentes Sur, Mexico City
