Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing testing of routers and switches.
Python scripting for development and debugging automated tests; embedded C/C++ is an asset.
Knowledge of router and switch architectures.
Hardware debugging and troubleshooting techniques for routing and switching products.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and VLANs; Windows and Linux proficiency.
Spanish and English proficiency with strong problem-solving and technical communication.

Responsibilities

Execute manufacturing test plans for routers and switches.
Develop and debug automated manufacturing test scripts using Python.
Troubleshoot electronic hardware issues identified during manufacturing testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable successful product releases.
Improve testing methodologies and tools in partnership with vendors.
Develop and maintain manufacturing test documentation, including test plans and test results.
Drive optimization and standardization of manufacturing test sequences while coordinating issue resolution between Ciena and contract manufacturer test engineering teams.
