Ciena Guadalajara is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer for routers and switches. You will execute test plans, develop Python automation scripts, and troubleshoot hardware issues during production, collaborating with engineering, vendors, and contract manufacturers to ensure successful product releases.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing testing, knowledge of router architectures and networking protocols, and experience with Windows/Linux environments.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in EE/CS or related field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing testing of routers and switches.
• Experience with Python-based automated tests and embedded C/C++ diagnostics is a plus.

Contributions help optimize production test coverage, consistency, and efficiency for deployed networking platforms.### How you will make an impact:* Execute manufacturing test plans for routers and switches.* Develop and debug automated manufacturing test scripts using Python.* Troubleshoot electronic hardware issues identified during manufacturing testing of routing and switching products.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable successful product releases.* Improve testing methodologies and tools in partnership with vendors.* Develop and maintain manufacturing test documentation, including test plans and test results.* Drive optimization and standardization of manufacturing test sequences while coordinating issue resolution between Ciena and contract manufacturer test engineering teams.### The must haves:* Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.* Experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing testing of routers and switches.* Application of Python scripting for development and debugging of automated manufacturing tests; experience in embedded software diagnostics (C/C++) is an asset.* Knowledge of router and switch architectures.* Application of hardware debugging and troubleshooting techniques for routing and switching products.* Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and VLANs, along with general Windows and Linux utilization.* Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English, with application of problem-solving and technical communication skills.### Nice to haves:* Experience in embedded software diagnostics using C/C++.At Ciena, we are committed to building and fostering an environment in which our employees feel respected, valued, and heard.
