HSBC Global Service Center in Mexico City is seeking an analyst to support Negative News Screening within the Screening Utility Operations. The role involves managing remediation requests, handling CDD projects, and ensuring compliance with policy while delivering high-quality service to clients.

You will work with CDD teams across the organization, grow domain knowledge, and adapt to evolving priorities. Fluency in English, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach are essential.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry/functional experience.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsabilidades

• Manage remediation requests in a timely and accurate manner, contributing to positive client experience.
• Perform outbound/inbound calls to provide customer service on CDD projects.
• Take ownership of remediation issues and coordinate with CDD functions to resolve bottlenecks.
• Provide solutions to problems and adhere to performance SLAs.
• Develop understanding of the business area to build knowledge base within CDD.
• Collaborate with managers and CDD to support new business requests efficiently.

Role Purpose

Negative News Screening sits within Screening Utility Operations. The objective of NNS is to provide international trade, and Payroll & clients with a globally consistent, and best in class Negative News Screening process. It ensures that screening is performed in accordance with Group and Regulatory Policy, obtaining documents as required from the client/ relationship manager, undertake all the necessary due diligence checks and ensure appropriate escalation is followed according to Policy. The NNS is supported Global Capability Network in Bangalore, Guangzhou, Krakow, Mexico, Argentina & Egypt.

The Global Sanctions Policy mandates that all customers are screened at on-boarding and periodic intervals, following changes to customer information and when the Official Lists and other applicable Local Lists are updated. Automated or manual screening is conducted using HSBC’s mandated automated customer screening solution which generates alerts for investigation

Principal Accountabilities

• Managing requests assigned in a timely and accurate manner, contributing towards positive client experience of the end to end remediation process
• Performing out-going / incoming calls, providing excellent customer service and assistance to the customers on Customer Due Diligence projects.
• Taking ownership of remediation related problems as they arise working closely with all CDD functions to ensure bottlenecks are resolved in an efficient and timely manner.
• Providing solutions to problems.
• Adhering to all performance level agreements at all times
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
• Proactively develop understanding of the business and product area thus creating a knowledge base with in CDD
• Work closely with all CDD functions to develop and vet new business requests in an efficient and timely manner, thereby enhancing performance, quality, and accuracy and reducing Warranty period.
• Working closely with the Managers providing support and coverage as appropriate

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or with equivalent industry/functional experience
• Computer literate and ability to work on basic applications like MS Excel, MS Word and Lotus Notes
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Ability to be flexible and willing to change along with changes in corporate and department objectives in addition to recommending changes to assist in meeting these objectives.
• Ability to balance quality and quantity (volumes) with primary focus on quality.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving and changing priorities. Procedures change frequently; selected candidates are expected to implement the changes immediately with minimal training.
• Is self-motivated, pragmatic (sense of urgency is a must)
• Willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.

Additional Information / Specific Skills (If Any):

• Previous experience in working for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Know Your Customer (KYC) teams is desirable
• Strong customer service mindset or sales orientation
• Ability to speak and understand and English fluently (as applicable), write business letters and reports, and have good conversational / telephone skills
