Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Tax Attorney to join its fully remote legal department in Mexico. You will provide expert tax planning, compliance, and dispute resolution support to optimize liabilities and align with financial objectives.

You will work with finance, accounting, and business units, handling cross-border issues and staying current with Mexican tax legislation. A remote setup with reliable internet is required.

Qualifications

• Law degree with specialization in Tax Law.
• Minimum 8 years in tax law, corporate planning/controversy.
• Deep knowledge of Mexican tax rules (ISR, IVA) and transfer pricing.
• Strong communication skills in Spanish; English beneficial.
• Remote work capability and reliable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic tax advice on corporate planning, transactions, and investments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in tax audits and represent the company in tax disputes and administrative proceedings.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
• Advise on cross-border tax implications and international tax treaties.
• Review and interpret tax legislation and provide timely updates.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams on tax reporting and filings.
• Identify tax risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Stay current with evolving tax laws and best practices.
