Job summary

Chainlink Labs is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability and performance of our large-scale streaming and data infrastructure. You will strengthen production operations for streaming workloads and Kubernetes, ensuring changes are version-controlled and repeatable.

The role focuses on scaling infrastructure, reducing incident rates, and enabling engineering teams with reusable modules and self-service pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on Kafka or Kafka-compatible streaming platforms (e.g., Redpanda) in production.
• Provisioned and managed production infrastructure using Terraform with repeatable changes.
• Experience deploying, operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads in production.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability and performance of large-scale distributed data infrastructure.
• Improve streaming and data pipelines, ensuring scalable, resilient services.
• Define and monitor SLIs and automate recovery procedures to reduce incidents.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize costs and efficiency.
• Develop reusable infrastructure modules and self-service capabilities.
• Guide infrastructure improvements based on service adoption and usage metrics.
