Job summary

Real Hires LLC is seeking a Senior Accounting Controller to turn disorganized books into reliable, management-ready financial reports for multiple clients. This hands-on, outsourced role focuses on reviewing records, tightening close processes, and delivering accurate statements.

You’ll work with clients, tax accountants, and auditors to resolve issues, improve workflows, and strengthen controls, while communicating complex numbers in plain English.

Qualifications

• Significant accounting leadership experience overseeing financial reporting.
• Experience with external clients or large multi-client environments.
• Proficiency in close processes and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Review and improve financial records for accurate reporting.
• Identify errors, reconcile accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage monthly close and ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and schedules.
• Handle accruals, cutoffs, A/R, A/P, and inventory tasks.
• Provide clear financial reports to owners, lenders, and accountants.
• Review work of bookkeepers and team members for accuracy.
• Collaborate with clients, tax professionals, and auditors to resolve issues.
• Improve workflows, strengthen internal controls, and maintain documentation.
• Lead client discussions and explain issues clearly.
