Rex.zone is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer for remote, full‑time work focused on real‑world autonomy workflows. You will design, implement, and validate robot software across perception, localization/SLAM, planning, controls, and test automation.

You will build ROS/ROS2 nodes and perception pipelines, develop SLAM/localization, implement motion planning with safety constraints, and maintain Gazebo/Ignition simulations. Strong C++/Python skills and Linux/colcon workflows are required.

Formación

• Shipping robotics/autonomy software in production or research‑to‑product settings.
• Strong C++ and Python skills (concurrency, profiling, performance, debugging).
• Hands‑on ROS/ROS2 experience (TF frames, messages, parameters, launch, rosbag).
• Experience in perception, SLAM/localization, mapping, sensor fusion, planning, or controls integration.
• Linux development with CMake/colcon and Git‑based workflows.
• Clear technical documentation and cross‑team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement ROS/ROS2 nodes, services, actions, and lifecycle components.
• Build perception pipelines (camera, LiDAR, IMU): calibration, synchronization, filtering, tracking, sensor fusion.
• Develop localization and mapping modules (SLAM, EKF/UKF fusion) and integrate with navigation.
• Implement motion planning and trajectory generation with constraints and recovery behaviors.
• Integrate with embedded/real‑time interfaces where required.
• Maintain simulation workflows (Gazebo/Ignition) and reduce sim‑to‑real gaps via testing.
• Create automated tests, log analysis, and benchmarks to improve reliability and latency.
• Debug field issues using telemetry, tracing, and rosbag logs; reproduce defects.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally on interfaces, acceptance criteria, safety, and releases.
