Job summary

Redwood Logistics is seeking a Lead Data Engineer within Shared Services to lead a team designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, a data vault, and data warehouses and marts. You will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to deliver key metrics and help shape data strategy.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technology experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, SQL, Python, and modern data tooling such as Snowflake and Fivetran.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent experience); preference in Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
• 8+ years technology experience with one or more of the following: AWS services (Aurora, MySQL), Snowflake, SQL Server, or equivalent
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills
• Proficiency in Python and libraries: Pandas, Streamlit, NumPy; JSON/CSV handling; Requests

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers with technical guidance
• Manage backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization for data projects
• Collaborate with business and technical leaders to set strategic and tactical initiatives
• Stay current with data engineering trends and tools to improve data infra
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines from various data sources
• Develop and maintain Data Vault, Data Warehouse, and Data Marts for key metrics
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders across departments
