Job summary

Spring Financial in Mexico is seeking a Data Platform Engineer II to build scalable data pipelines atop AWS and Snowflake. You will own end-to-end data platform components, from design through production, with a focus on reliability, security, and observability.

You will collaborate with Finance, Risk, Analytics, and Engineering, applying AI-enabled approaches to testing, schema discovery, and automated QA, while growing your technical craft in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience building data pipelines with Snowflake and AWS-native tools.
• Experience with real-time data systems (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Streaming).
• Good working knowledge of data modeling, schema evolution, and secure, privacy-conscious data design.
• Fluency in Python and SQL; some exposure to infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform or CDK).
• Practical use of AI tools in your development workflow, and interest in building AI into the platform itself.
• Track record of delivering projects end to end, with an eye on the business value behind them.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; a reliable partner to both engineering and business teams.
• Self-directed in ambiguity: comfortable asking good questions, acting on feedback, and taking on broader scope over time.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines across AWS and Snowflake.
• Scope and deliver initiatives to modernize data flows and enable self-serve analytics.
• Apply testing, observability, security, and CI/CD standards in data systems.
• Integrate AI capabilities into data pipelines and development practices.
• Collaborate with Analytics, ML, Finance, and product partners to meet SLAs.
• Contribute to data architecture design and code reviews.
• Own problems end-to-end with a focus on quality and production readiness.
