Nearshore Business Solutions is seeking a Controller to support a US healthcare client’s finance operations. The role emphasizes US GAAP, month-end close, financial reporting, and robust accounting controls in a multi-entity, multi-location setup.

Work remotely with overlap to U.S. business hours; 40 hours weekly. CPA preferred; 5+ years of experience and strong English communication required. This independent-contractor role offers CFO-level exposure and process improvement opportunities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close responsibility.
• Experience as Controller/Accounting Manager or similar role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity accounting.
• Advanced Excel, QuickBooks Online, and English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead monthly close and prepare financial statements and schedules.
• Maintain general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and intercompany activity.
• Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance across locations and service lines.
• Prepare management reports and variance analyses for CFO.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external accountants and tax advisors.
• Improve accounting workflows and internal controls; support year-end audits.
• Collaborate with Payroll Lead and Billing Manager on related activity.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.
