Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Ingeniero de Costos de Construcción to lead cost estimation and budget analysis for large-scale projects from anywhere. You will forecast financials, assess risks, and collaborate with remote teams to optimize project costs.

The role demands a strong quantitative background, experience with cost engineering, and fluency in Spanish and English. A fully remote setup offers flexibility while delivering impactful cost management for international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years in construction cost estimating, cost engineering, or related role.
• Proven experience preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction types.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, labor, and market pricing.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software (CostX, Sage Estimating) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects at design and construction stages.
• Perform budget analysis, cost tracking, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze plans, specs, and site data to identify cost-saving opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather data and validate estimates.
• Prepare cost reports, variance analyses, and financial projections for stakeholders.
• Assist in bidding and tender processes with cost information and documentation.
• Monitor and control project costs, recommending corrective actions.
• Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and labor rates impacting costs.
• Ensure compliance with cost management policies and update cost databases.
