Job summary

Overseas is seeking a Construction Accountant to support commercial electrical estimation, project administration, and accounting across a multi-state portfolio. You will perform quantity take-offs, organize bid packages, and manage job-costing within Foundation ERP while coordinating with project managers and vendors.

The role emphasizes hands-on estimation, ERP proficiency, and strong organizational skills, with a fully remote setup and US business hours alignment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with commercial electrical estimation and take-offs — this is the primary focus of the role
• Foundation ERP experience is a hard requirement — candidates without Foundation ERP proficiency will not be considered
• Prior experience in construction project administration, coordination, or accounting
• Experience with AP, AR, billing, purchase orders, and job costing in a construction environment
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without losing track of open items
• Self‑directed with the ability to independently follow up on outstanding items and see tasks through to completion

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial electrical quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications
• Assist with preparing and organizing bid packages for commercial electrical projects
• Review plans and specs to identify scope, materials, labor, and cost inputs for estimates
• Maintain organized estimate files, bid logs, and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with project managers and estimators to ensure bids are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
• Track bid results and assist with post-bid analysis and follow-up
• Provide administrative and coordination support to project managers and company leadership across active projects
• Assist with new project setup and maintain accurate project information within Foundation ERP
• Maintain organized electronic project files and supporting documentation
• Create and maintain project, work order, and job tracking logs
• Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and vendor coordination
• Track project-related invoices, purchase orders, material purchases, and other job documentation
• Follow up on outstanding administrative items to help keep projects moving
• Enter vendor invoices and routine accounting transactions in Foundation ERP
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Prepare and enter customer billing and apply customer payments
• Review invoices for proper job and cost-code allocation
• Enter and maintain job-cost information and assist with cost transfers and corrections
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
• Assist with preparation of job-cost, billing, AP/AR, and other internal financial reports
