Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an AI Tooling Engineer based in Mexico to build and scale an internal AI platform that unifies company knowledge, data, and tools in a secure environment.

Working with a Principal Engineer, you will deploy production-ready AI agents, integrate APIs, optimize costs, and implement robust security and access controls across a globally distributed team. This remote role emphasizes ownership and practical impact.

Qualifications

• + 3+ years shipping production software using Python and relational databases.
• + Proven experience deploying at least one production AI agent with LangGraph used by real users.
• + Experience in agent development: tool calling, retrieval & embeddings, prompts, context design.
• + Hands-on with LLM APIs and cost optimization.
• + Experience with MCP or comparable tool protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an internal AI platform with agent development and system integration.
• Integrate internal systems and SaaS APIs with shared data models and access controls.
• Build AI agents and MCP servers for organization-wide use.
• Design retrieval workflows, embeddings, prompts, and context management.
• Establish AI quality standards with evaluation datasets and testing.
• Monitor cost per answer and token usage; optimize models and workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues and incorporate user feedback.
• Turn PoCs into secure, scalable cloud apps with proper IAM.
• Use AI coding agents in the development workflow with tests and reviews.
• Contribute to enterprise AI tooling standards and cost tracking.
• Assist other teams in adopting the platform and building AI-powered workflows.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and communicate solutions.
