Job summary

Outlier offers a remote, structured program for LatAm software engineers to help train AI models by reviewing AI-generated code and creating focused prompts. The work is 1099 contract and open to many Latin American countries, including Mexico.

Core project work pays up to $34 USD/hr with additional incentive opportunities tied to Missions and performance. Flexible, remote collaboration provides access to leading AI tools and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase, ideally for a tech company.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions — accuracy, instruction following, and presentation.
• Write computer science questions: develop clear, well-structured prompts that challenge AI models and push coding ability.
