Job summary

Outlier invites software engineers in Latin America to join a remote QA coder program that helps train AI models by reviewing and rating AI-generated code. This is a freelance opportunity with flexible hours on a 1099 contract.

You will review code, rate model responses across accuracy and instruction following, and craft prompts to challenge models. Earn up to $34 per hour, with additional incentives through Missions based on project needs and performance.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase ideally for a technology company.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions—accuracy, instruction following, and presentation.
• Write clear, well-structured prompts to challenge AI models and push coding ability.
