Job summary

Outlier invites experienced software engineers in LatAm to join a structured remote program that trains AI models to generate, debug, and evaluate code. As a QA Coder, you will review AI-generated code, rate model responses, and write targeted computer science prompts from anywhere in Latin America.

The role is a freelance 1099 contract with pay up to $34 USD/hr, plus additional incentives based on project performance.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase, ideally for a technology company.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions such as accuracy and instruction following.
• Write clear, well-structured computer science prompts to challenge AI models.
