Maersk is seeking a Regional Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) to act as a trusted process authority across Americas. You will guide regional operations, align with global standards, and drive best-practice adoption while supporting complex issue resolution.

As a process expert, you will standardize methods across countries, monitor KPIs, and contribute to automation and Lean initiatives. This role requires 3–5 years in lead logistics or shared-service operations and strong English

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in lead logistics, customer experience, supply chain, terminal, or shared-service operations; process expert or super user experience.
  • Experience with ERP/operational systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams; Power BI is a plus.
  • English level B2–C1 with ability to collaborate across countries.

Responsabilidades

  • Support SCP migrations and implementation activities for new/existing customers, ensuring readiness and onboarding.
  • Act as regional SME for assigned processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Provide guidance on process execution, standards, controls, and business requirements.
  • Drive standardization across countries while managing local exceptions.
  • Monitor KPIs, service levels, quality indicators, and process compliance; coordinate corrective actions.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and resolve complex operational issues and escalations.
  • Maintain SOPs, work instructions, process maps, training materials, and knowledge docs.
  • Support business transitions, new process implementations, system changes, and stabilization.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and Lean Kaizen improvements.
  • Facilitate training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing for users and teams.
  • Partner with regional/global stakeholders to align priorities with customer needs.
  • Support audits, governance reviews, and compliance with process documentation.

Here's the Deal

We are looking for a Regional Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) to act as a trusted process authority across multiple countries and operational teams. This role will provide expert guidance on regional operations, ensure alignment with global standards, support complex issue resolution, and drive the adoption of consistent processes and best practices. You will work closely with operational leaders, key users, functional teams, and regional stakeholders to improve performance, strengthen controls, and support business transitions and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support SCP (New Lead Logistics Platform) migrations and implementation activities for new and existing customers, ensuring operational readiness, business adoption, and seamless onboarding.
  • Act as the regional subject matter expert for assigned operational processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Provide guidance to operational teams and stakeholders on process execution, standards, controls, and business requirements.
  • Drive process standardization across countries and locations while identifying and managing justified local exceptions.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, service levels, quality indicators, and process compliance; identify gaps and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and support the resolution of complex operational issues and escalations.
  • Maintain and improve SOPs, work instructions, process maps, training materials, and knowledge documentation.
  • Support business transitions, new process implementations, system changes, and stabilization activities.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, waste reduction, and continuous improvement through Lean and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Facilitate training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing sessions for key users and operational teams.
  • Partner with regional and global stakeholders to ensure operational priorities are aligned with customer and business needs.
  • Support audits, controls, governance reviews, and compliance activities by providing process expertise and documentation.
  • Represent the regional user community in process governance forums and transformation projects.
The Basics
  • Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Years of Experience: 3-5 years of experience in lead logistics, customer experience, supply chain, terminal, or shared-service operations, including experience as a process expert, super user, or operational lead
  • Software: ERP or operational systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and reporting or visualization tools; experience with Power BI is a plus
  • Technical Skills: End-to-end process knowledge, KPI management, root-cause analysis, SOP development, process governance, and continuous improvement
  • English Level: B2-C1, with the ability to collaborate effectively across countries and seniority levels
