Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Regional Financial Business Partner Ocean in Mexico City to drive financial performance by providing leadership and guidance on financial information, business performance, and strategy implementation.

The role partners with Operations and Leadership to prepare and present the annual financial plan, forecasts, and reports, and to identify cost-saving opportunities. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CA/MBA-finance).
• 5+ years of experience in finance and analysis.
• Advanced MS Office skills; SAP experience beneficial.
• Experience with financial cubes/SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Assists in the monthly close process to ensure accurate recording.
• Tracks financial and operating status via variances from Budget/ROFO.
• Create and own weekly forecasts for sites with cross-functional teams.
• Prepares timely and accurate reports, plans, and forecasts.
• Analyzes financial information to determine performance.
• Collaborates with leadership to present the annual financial plan.
• Recommends cost-saving or profitability-improvement opportunities.
• Works with operational leadership to provide decision-support tools.

Regional Financial Business Partner Ocean

Drives financial performance in an organisational area by providing
leadership, guidance and support on financial information, business
performance and implementation of strategies

Key Responsibilities

• Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. Assistsin the monthly close process to ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.


• Tracks financial and operating status by monitoring variances from Budget/ROFO.


• Create and own Weekly Forecasts for responsible sites by working closely with Operations, Accounting and Billing Specialist Teams, and independentlyutilizingaccounting systems tomonitorand track Revenue/Expenses as they are incurred.


• Helps preparetimelyandaccuratereports, plans, and forecasts for internal and external constituents.


• Analyzes financial information todeterminepresent and future financial performance.


• Collaborates with operational leadership to analyze, prepare (bottom-up approach) and present the annual financial plan.


• Makesrecommendations to managementregardingcost saving orprofit generatingopportunities and profitability improvement strategies.


• Has knowledge of and can apply commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the finance and accounting field.
