Forvis Mazars is seeking an experienced Regional Chief Information Officer to lead technology strategy and execution across LATAM from Mexico. The role links Group Technology with regional leadership and local IT teams to drive service delivery, cybersecurity, governance and transformation.

The Regional CIO will partner with Group technology and country leaders to translate business priorities into actionable technology initiatives, oversee budgets and KPIs, and travel across LATAM as required.

Formación

• Senior technology leadership experience such as CIO or Regional CIO.
• Experience leading technology across LATAM or multi-country regions.
• Strong IT operations, infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, cybersecurity, ITSM and enterprise service management.
• Proven experience driving technology transformation and operating model change.
• Understanding FinOps, budgeting, vendor management, cost optimization and performance management.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and align cross-country teams.
• Executive presence and ability to communicate complex tech topics clearly to technical and business audiences.
• Fluent English; additional LATAM languages are valued.
• Willingness to travel across LATAM.

At Forvis Mazars, we are looking for an experienced Regional Chief Information Officer (Regional CIO) to join our Technology & Digital Solutions (T&DS) organization and take on a key technology leadership role across Latin America.

Based in Mexico, this position will have a regional LATAM scope, working across multiple countries and acting as the strategic and operational link between Group Technology, regional leadership, and local IT teams.

The Regional CIO will play a key role in translating global technology strategy into effective regional execution, while strengthening service delivery, cybersecurity, governance, operational performance, technology transformation, and cross-country collaboration throughout the region. The role is designed to create greater alignment between Group, Region, and Country levels while ensuring technology services remain effective and fit for purpose across different markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technology strategy and execution across LATAM, ensuring alignment between Group Technology, regional priorities, and country needs.
• Act as a key technology partner to regional leadership, translating business priorities into clear and actionable technology initiatives.
• Drive cross-country IT service delivery and operational excellence across LATAM, overseeing service performance, major incidents, escalations, continuity, and regional technology KPIs.
• Partner with Group technology teams across areas such as Cloud, M365, ServiceNow, Network, Infrastructure and Security to address regional priorities and transversal issues.
• Strengthen the region’s cybersecurity and risk management framework, including security governance, vulnerability management, incident oversight and compliance.
• Lead and coordinate regional technology transformation initiatives, ensuring strong project governance, adoption and effective implementation across countries.
• Oversee regional technology financial management and FinOps, supporting budget visibility, cost optimization, vendor performance, procurement initiatives and investment decisions.
• Develop technology capabilities across the region by identifying maturity gaps, strengthening local teams and promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration between countries.
• Build strong relationships with Country CIOs, IT leaders, Managing Partners, Group Technology teams and external vendors, creating alignment across a complex, multi-country environment.
• Provide clear visibility to leadership on technology priorities, performance, risks, capacity and investment needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience in senior technology leadership roles such as CIO, Regional CIO, VP Technology, Regional IT Director, Head of Technology, or equivalent positions.
• Proven experience leading technology across LATAM or another complex multi-country region.
• Strong understanding of IT operations, infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, cybersecurity, ITSM and enterprise service management.
• Proven experience driving technology transformation and operating model change across complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of FinOps, technology budgets, vendor management, cost optimization and performance management.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with operational involvement, particularly around service delivery, technology risk and business continuity.
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority and create alignment across different countries, teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex technology topics clearly to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience working with senior leadership teams, executive committees and business stakeholders.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages relevant to the LATAM region are highly valued.
• Availability to travel across LATAM according to business and regional needs.
