Axiom is seeking a Quote Engineer located at Guadalajara North Campus to drive detailed cost models, pricing assumptions, and quote strategy across mechanical sheet metal products. You will collaborate with engineering and business teams to ensure accurate, financially viable quotes.

Responsibilities include reviewing customer documents, building and maintaining cost models, and providing analysis for bids while leveraging Excel tools and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in the sheet metal industry.
• Knowledge of mechanical sheet metal processes, such as Soft Tool punching and bending; Hard Tool stamping; and secondary operations such as hardware insertion, welding, etc.
• Reading and interpreting customer documents such as BOMs, 2D & 3D drawings and specification details (tolerances, surface finishes, materials, and special processes).
• Knowledge of basic financial concepts: P&L, revenue, cost, etc.
• Knowledge of NREs and its cost estimations (tooling/fixtures).
• Knowledge of metals commodities.
• Basic to intermediate Excel handling (pivot tables, macros).
• Advanced intermediate English.

• Complete the detailed Cost models for each quote, ensuring correct processes, content and verify all assumptions with Business teams and operations.
• Participate in Quote Strategy / Attend Kick-Off calls.
• Detailed technical review of customer documentation as necessary.
• Build and manage relationships with site engineering resources.
• Create cost models for budgetary or quick turn quotes when demand requires.
• Cost Model data manipulation / Cost & Price roll-up / VAM Creation based on docs and quote strategy.
• Ensure financial viability and accuracy of cost models used.
• Provide financial analysis for the BDM Team on quotes.
• Provide final pricing and financial assumption to be included in quote letter.
