Job summary

Givaudan in Pedro Escobedo (Querétaro) is hiring an Industrialization Chemist to develop and industrialize fragrance and beauty ingredients. You will design processing techniques, run lab tests, and collaborate with Engineering, S&T, and Production to scale new ingredients while maintaining cost and quality targets.

Ideal candidates hold a Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree with 4+ years of experimental chemistry, prefer a PhD or Master in Organic Chemistry, and must be fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• PhD preferred (or Master with focus in Organic Chemistry).
• 4+ years of proven-experience in experimental chemistry (organic and analytic).
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input for designing the Industrialization strategy and related goals.
• Scout market and test new ingredients processing techniques to onboard in factories.
• Experiment new ways using existing/new technologies for fragrance ingredients.
• Develop new processing techniques and conduct lab tests and pilots with other departments and partners.
• Participate in studies and evaluations of industrial equipment for the processing technique.
• Implement process development projects and assist production chemists with new processes.
• Create technical documentation for retained processing techniques.
• Acquire knowledge to continue career development in production area.

Industrialization Chemist, Your future position?

As a Industrialization Chemist for our fragrance & beauty division based in our Pedro Escobedo, Querétaro plant, you will develop and implement improved or new product/ingredient processing techniques of less complex nature to industrialize new ingredients at required quality and cost levels, reporting to the Industrialization Manager.

In This Exciting Role You Will

• Provide technical input for designing the Industrialization strategy and definition of related goals based on market intelligence (e.g. new technologies and input provided by team members, i.e. Engineering, Science & Technology, Commercial, among others.
• Scout market and work with adjacent functions to identify and test new ingredients/products processing techniques/technologies to be on-boarded and deployed within factories.
• Experiment new/different ways in using existing/new technologies and related products/ingredients processing (e.g. synthesis of fragrance ingredients).
• Develop new products/ingredients processing techniques and conduct lab tests and production pilots with other departments (S&T, Creation, Production, among others) and external partners.
• Participate in studies and evaluations of industrial equipment for the selected processing technique.
• Implement process development projects and assist production chemists in the implementation of new/modified processes.
• Create technical documentation for retained processing techniques.
• Acquire the knowledge and expertise to continue your career development in production area.

Your Professional Profile Includes
