EDAG-Mexico seeks a Quality Engineer-CPT to evaluate supplier parts, ensure quality acceptance, and drive corrective actions within automotive projects. You will create non-conforming material entries, gather data on defects, and implement containment and root-cause solutions.

The role requires 1 year of automotive quality experience, knowledge of audits (VDA/IATF16949/ISO 9001), and fluency in English. Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1 year of automotive industry experience in quality, systems, manufacturing or related roles.
• Experience with product/process audits per international standards (VDA, IATF16949, ISO 9001).
• Knowledge of non-conforming materials and quality processes.
• GD&T knowledge is a plus; good data gathering and KPI reporting skills.
• ISO 19011 auditing knowledge is desirable; strong MS Office and SAP familiarity.
• Fluent English; ability to work rotating shifts.

Responsabilidades

DESCRIPTION

• Perform the evaluation of supplier’s parts within the different commodities


• Ensure and assess the acceptance of supplied parts quality according the standards through of inspections, audits, etc.


• Create entries for non-conforming material inside the system and validate quality incidents from other plants that could affect


• Gather data through of statistical measurements for failures, defects, quality issues, etc.


• Implement robust containment actions when flaw or defect parts are identified


• Create orders for sorting and/or reworks with approved work instructions


• Execute actions for problem solving through of different tools and deploy effective corrective actions


• Perform all activities aligned with the tickets scope and KPI’s targets


• Participate actively in regular meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering and/or related


• 1 year of experience inside the Automotive Industry with knowledge in quality, quality systems, quality assurance, manufacturing (exterior, interior, electronics and/or powertrain) and/or similar positions


• Experience with product/process audits according to international standards (VDA, IATF16949 and/or ISO 9001)


• Good knowledge of Non-conforming processes and material management


• Good knowledge of quality processes, quality tools and GD&T (is a plus)


• Certified Quality auditor under ISO 19011 (desirable)


• Handling of KPIs and reporting


• Gather of technical information, lessons learnt, concepts and customer requirements


• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing)


• Good knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Access, Excel, Powerpoint)


• SAP (desirable)


• Fluent English (Conversational level)
