Job summary

HELLA Automotive Mexico S.A. de C.V. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Mexico to plan and perform incoming inspections for purchase parts, using SAP and various inspection instruments.

The role requires knowledge of electronic components, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP and strong English communication, with responsibility for quarantines, non-conforming parts, and supplier issues. The successful candidate will lead a team of 8+ members, drive quality improvements, and support problem-solving

Qualifications

• Graduate in Electronics/Mechanical (BE/ BTech).
• Min 2 years, max-3 years in incoming inspection in Automotive industry.
• Experience with Kaizen and quality improvements.
• Knowledge of ISO/IATF standards and internal audits.
• Knowledge of CP/MSA and PFMEA; reading product drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct incoming inspection for purchase parts with SAP documentation.
• Manage non-conforming parts and coordinate rework or sorting.
• Oversee quarantine area for purchase parts.
• Create/close FS notifications for supplier logistics claims.
• Plan and conduct revalidations of all purchase parts.
• Read and interpret product drawings and test methods.
• Apply problem solving using 8D and related tools.
• Implement PFMEA and Control Plan; PPAP knowledge.
• Readiness to lead a team of 8+ members; strong computer and English skills.

Supplier Quality Engineer

Location Amexhe, Mexico

YOUR TASKS

• Plan and conduct incoming inspection for purchase parts including documentation (eg. In SAP).
• Knowledge of electronic components
• Knowledge of usage of all Inspection instrument like VC, PP, VMM, CMM, Hardness Tester etc
• Management of not conforming parts including inter-company parts (ERP and physically) and coordinate the further action (eg. Rework, sorting etc.)
• Responsible to manage quarantine area of purchase parts.
• Create/close FS notification against suppliers incase of logistic claim.
• Plan and conduct the revalidation of all Purchase parts
• Able to read and understand product drawings and specifications, test methods
• Experience of Problem solving through different quality tools like 8D etc.
• Understanding to implement PFMEA, Control Plan
• Should have good knowledge of PPAP & have hand on experience on the process.
• Should have good computer & English communication skill
• Able to implement Change Management effectively
• Should have experience of handling team with 8 & more members
• Should have minimum 8 years' experience & at least 6 years in Quality Domain

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate in Electronics/Mechanical (BE/ B Tech)
• Min 2 years, max- 3 years (Incoming Inspection in Automotive industry)
• Experience of Improvement Projects like Kaizens..
• Knowledge of ISO Standards ( IATF etc. ), Internal auditor
• Knowledge of Process Capability Study and MSA
• Basic Knowledge on VDA 6.3 and also should have done audits at supplier end.
• Understanding the supplier qualification methods
