ABB en San Luis Potosí busca un Quality Control Specialist para ejecutar, documentar y validar pruebas funcionales, de seguridad y rendimiento en tableros de baja y media tensión, asegurando el cumplimiento de UL, IEEE y ANSI y las especificaciones del cliente.

Qualifications

• Titulo universitario en ingeniería eléctrica, mecatrónica o electrónica.
• Experiencia mínima de 1 año en roles similares.
• Conocimiento de normas ANSI, UL e IEEE.
• Experiencia con controles de seguridad eléctrica.
• Experiencia práctica en programación de relés y sistemas de control.
• Inglés intermedio.
• Excelentes habilidades de trabajo en equipo y comunicación.

Responsibilities

• Realizar pruebas FAT/SAT y pruebas de continuidad, resistencia e integridad.
• Verificar circuitos de potencia, control, protección y medición.
• Inspecciones visuales y dimensionales según planos.
• Validar cableado interno y esquemas eléctricos.
• Configurar y verificar relés y equipos de medición.
• Generar informes técnicos y documentación de calidad.
• Identificar no conformidades y proponer acciones correctivas.
• Cumplir con procedimientos de seguridad eléctrica y LOTO.
• Colaborar con Ingeniería, Manufactura y Calidad para la liberación de productos.

Quality Control Specialist

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute, document, and validate functional, safety, and performance electrical tests on low- and medium-voltage switchboards, ensuring compliance with UL, IEEE, ANSI standards and customer specifications, while guaranteeing product quality, reliability, and safety prior to release. UL standards for switchboards include requirements related to construction, performance, insulation, grounding, and acceptance testing.

The Work Model For The Role Is

This role is contributing to the Low voltage team in SLP.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

• Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
• Execute dielectric (Hi-Pot), continuity, insulation resistance, operation sequence, and functional tests.
• Verify power, control, protection, and metering circuits.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections in accordance with electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Validate internal wiring according to electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Configure and verify protective relays and metering equipment.
• Generate technical test reports and quality documentation.
• Identify nonconformities and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support product release.

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronic or Electronics Engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in similar roles.
• Knowledge of ANSI, UL and IEEE standards.
• Experience working with electrical safety controls.
• Hands‑on experience in relay programming and control systems.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and tools.
• Intermediate English level.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
