Job summary

ExactlyIT Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to define and maintain test runbooks for automated and manual tests, coordinating with SMEs, SWEs, and SREs to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. You will formalize scenarios, manage test coverage, and drive defect resolution through actionable tickets.

Qualifications

• Identify and formalize test scenarios to create a holistic test coverage.
• Maintain a runbook of scenarios run for different contexts (staging, production prep, nightly regression).
• Continue to improve testing ecosystem, favouring automation when feasible.
• Collaborate with SMEs to ensure holistic test coverage.
• Analyze test results, turning failures into tickets for defect resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable 4 years of experience.
• Experience with testing frameworks like Selenium or Cypress, or demonstrated ability to learn.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger, or demonstrated ability to learn.
• Experience with version control (e.g. Git).
• Demonstrable understanding of test design, exploratory testing, and bug life-cycle management.
