Flowserve seeks a proactive Purchasing Specialist to manage a portfolio of domestic and international suppliers supporting operations. The role covers the full purchasing cycle—from requisition to PO creation, supplier follow-up, and on-time delivery of quality materials across North America, China, India, and Canada.

The candidate will collaborate with Planning, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering, using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Formación

• 2–4 years of purchasing/procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Admin, or related.
• Experience managing domestic and international suppliers.
• Intermediate English with written communication skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
• Familiarity with logistics/import-export coordination.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems.
• Pump industry experience is a plus.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Purchasing Specialist to manage a portfolio of domestic and international suppliers supporting our operations. This role is responsible for the full purchasing cycle—from purchase requisition through purchase order creation, supplier follow-up, and on-time delivery of materials that meet required quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with Planning, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, and suppliers across North America, China, India, and Canada. This position is ideal for a hands‑on professional who combines supplier‑management capabilities, technical understanding, and strong written English communication skills.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Manage an assigned portfolio of domestic and international suppliers, fostering productive relationships and monitoring supplier performance.
• Execute the end‑to‑end purchasing process, including reviewing purchase requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and following orders through delivery and quality release.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery dates, quantities, documentation, and compliance with purchase‑order requirements.
• Partner with Planning, Quality, Logistics/Traffic, and Engineering teams to address material shortages, delivery risks, inventory needs, and supply constraints.
• Support the resolution of supplier‑related quality issues, nonconforming materials, and rejected parts in coordination with Quality and Engineering.
• Review inventory conditions and procurement requirements to help ensure material availability while supporting inventory‑management objectives.
• Prepare purchasing‑status reports, including pivot‑table analysis, summary reports, and updates for internal stakeholders and leadership.
• Use ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle to manage purchase orders, supplier data, material status, and procurement reporting.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
• Experience managing domestic and international suppliers, including purchase‑order follow‑up, delivery performance, and supplier communication.
• Intermediate English proficiency, with strong written communication skills for interaction with global suppliers and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, supplier administration, and the purchase‑order lifecycle.
• Familiarity with logistics, traffic, import/export coordination, or material‑delivery processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience using SAP, Oracle, or a comparable ERP system.
• Experience in the pump industry is highly desirable; exposure to automotive, aerospace, or another technical manufacturing industry is also valued.
