Job summary

Maersk Terminals is seeking a Project HSSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety, Security and Environmental discipline for the Lazaro Cárdenas Extension project in Mexico. You will upgrade facilities safely, in line with local legislation and corporate standards, while guiding a multinational team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in outsourced supply chains within construction or asset delivery.
• Experience leading HSSE on two large-scale capital infrastructure projects, preferably in Mexico.
• Knowledge of Mexican NOM standards and HSSE requirements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Safety, Security Management or related field with relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Define HSSE vision, strategy, goals and align with company framework and local laws.
• Identify and manage HSSE risks; support reviews, KPI reporting, audits, inspections, safety tours.
• Lead the Fatal 5 Program and foster proactive HSSE culture through dialogue and learning.
• Lead incident management: reporting, investigations and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and crisis communication with operations, contractors and authorities.
• Embed HSSE requirements in contracts and procurement; monitor compliance and actions.
• Coordinate interfaces and high-risk activities through planning and permit-to-work.
