Job summary

Oferta confidencial is seeking an experienced EHS Manager in Mexico to lead health, safety and environmental programs at the site level. You will drive risk reduction, oversee audits, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with local authorities and cross-functional teams.

Advanced English is required to lead executive presentations and collaborate with international clients. Minimum 5 years of EHS leadership experience and strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are essential

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as EHS Manager.
• Experience in Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability, or Facility Risk Management.
• Proven experience leading HS&S programs, audits, legal compliance, incident investigations, risk reduction plans, and management-system activities at Site level.
• Experience managing or coordinating HS&S teams, contractors, cross-functional stakeholders, and Site leadership routines.
• Demonstrated ability to influence operational leaders and drive cultural transformations in EHS.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits, certification maintenance, and corrective action closure.
• Experience in accident investigation, risk analysis, and development of preventive programs.
• Experience in managing regulatory audits and certificates.
• Experience in project management and execution.
• Demonstrable experience driving cultural transformations in EHS.

Responsibilities

• Analyze trends and accident rate indicators to establish strategies for risk reduction and cost control.
• Ensures Site compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, corporate, and customer-related HS&S requirements.
• Advise internal and external clients on issues related to safety, hygiene, and the environment.
• Drives risk reduction, incident prevention, ergonomic improvement, environmental protection, and sustainability performance.
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with activities of the Health and Safety Committee.
• Leads internal and external audit readiness, corrective action governance and performance reviews.
• Keep emergency and contingency response plans up to date in coordination with the relevant authorities.
• Develop, implement, and oversee risk prevention, industrial safety, and occupational hygiene programs.
• Define, monitor, and report on KPIs related to safety, health, and environment.
• Maintains ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and certifications, when applicable.
• Lead the selection, training, development, and evaluation of the Safety, Health, and Environment team.
• Manage investigations of accidents, incidents, and occupational illnesses, identifying root causes and preventive actions.
• Manage the acquisition and renewal of environmental and safety permits, licenses, and authorizations.
