Job summary

BOGE Rubber & Plastics Group is seeking a Project Buyer with automotive industry experience to drive procurement for new programmes and launches. You will manage direct material sourcing, obtain supplier quotations, negotiate terms, and support cost analyses to meet project milestones.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or International Business and have 3–5 years of project procurement experience in the automotive sector, including reading

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or International Business.
• 3–5 years’ experience in project procurement in automotive.
• Experience negotiating with domestic and international suppliers.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding and/or rubber molding processes.
• Experience launching new automotive projects and reading technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials for new projects, ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Obtain quotations for direct materials and negotiate prices, terms and delivery with suppliers.
• Develop, evaluate and select suppliers per corporate and automotive standards.
• Prepare cost analyses and assist in drawing up quotations for customers.
• Participate in APQP meetings and ensure commercial milestones are met.
• Manage supply risks and develop launch success strategies.

Job description

We are looking for a Project Buyer with experience in the automotive industry to join our team and contribute to the success of new programmes and launches.

Key responsibilities

Manage the procurement of materials and components for new projects, ensuring compliance with cost, quality and delivery targets.

Obtain quotations for direct materials required for product launches and negotiate prices, commercial terms, contracts and delivery times with domestic and international suppliers.

Develop, evaluate and select suppliers in accordance with corporate and automotive standards.

Prepare cost analyses and commercial comparisons, and assist in drawing up quotations for customers.

Participate in multidisciplinary teams and APQP meetings, ensuring that the commercial milestones for each project are met.

Manage supply risks and develop strategies to ensure the success of product launches.

Profile we are looking for

A degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Business or a related subject.

3 to 5 years’ experience in project procurement within the automotive industry.

Experience in negotiating with domestic and international suppliers.

Knowledge of plastic injection moulding and/or rubber moulding processes.

Experience in launching new automotive projects and reading technical drawings.
