Lear Corporation in Toluca, Mexico, is seeking a Commodity Buyer to develop and execute purchasing strategies for automotive parts. You will build and lead a dynamic supplier base, monitor performance, and negotiate contracts to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a related field, has at least 3 years of automotive procurement experience, and is skilled in direct material purchasing and supplier relationships.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Development or related to supply chain.
• At least 3 years of professional experience, specifically related to the automotive industry.
• Experience in direct material purchasing, preferably plastics.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress checking the quality of service provided and close deals with optimal terms.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
• Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers and new ones, and building and maintaining good relationships with them.
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.

Provide to our internal costumer an efficient supplier base with dynamic and efficient procurement, achieving the internal company targets through an efficient supply chain management.

• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
