Job summary

EDAG Engineering GmbH in Puebla seeks a seasoned Program Manager CAD Development to lead automotive development programs from RFQ to SOP. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across regions and report progress to customers and stakeholders.

The role requires managing multi-site programs, ensuring CAD compliance and process adherence, and acting as the primary technical contact for OEMs and Tier1s. Strong leadership and global collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in automotive development
• 5+ years leading programs/teams
• Experience with interior/exterior trim, BIW, closures
• Advanced knowledge of APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R, DFA, DFM, PPAP, GD&T
• Experience managing global, customer-facing projects
• English level B2
• German A2 desirable

DESCRIPTION

• Manage complete product development programs from RFQ through SOP and establish project timelines, milestones, resourceplans, and risk management strategies.
• Lead cross-functional engineering reviews, governance meetings and drive issue resolution and escalation management.
• Ensure compliance with customer CAD standards and internal engineering processes required by EDAG and our clients.
• Act as primary technical/program contact for our customers (OEMs & Tiers1) and align customer expectations with developmentcapability and program timing.
• Lead design reviews and status reporting with customer engineering teams.
• Lead cross functional teams and work closely with: Product engineering, CAE, manufacturing engineering, quality and suppliers.
• Ensure design compliance with: DFMEA, DFM/DFA, GD&T, packaging requirements, quality standards and release readiness.
• Lead multi-site engineering teams and support workforce planning and capacity management.
• Mentor CAD leaders / design engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• 15+ year of experience inside the automotive industry in development area & 5 years leading development programs/teams.
• Knowledge in interior, exterior trim, BIW, Closures.
• Advance knowledge in APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R, DFA, DFM, PPAP, GD&T and Materials.
• Experience managing global teams and customer-facing projects and proven record of launching automotive products intoproduction.
• International Experience (desirable)
• Experience in developing phase from: Concept until tooling kick off.
• English B2(Advanced)
• German A2 (desirable)
