Corning Incorporated in Reynosa, Mexico, is seeking a Production Supervisor to supervise and manage daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and hygiene while complying with QMS and EMS requirements.

The role requires leadership of personnel, a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, and expertise in production metrics and scrap reduction. Extrusion experience is highly desirable for this position.

Formación

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing/production with problem-solving responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience leading and supervising personnel.
  • Knowledge of production efficiency and scrap reduction.
  • Experience monitoring hourly production metrics.
  • Knowledge of safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to train and develop personnel.

Responsabilidades

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and hygiene standards across production areas.
  • Manage and control the human and material resources assigned to the area.
  • Drive production efficiency by monitoring hourly performance and key production metrics.
  • Implement actions aimed at reducing scrap and material waste.
  • Ensure compliance with QMS and EMS guidelines.
  • Follow up on and close corrective and preventive actions from audits, incidents, or process deviations.
  • Train and develop personnel in production processes, safety, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Maintenance to ensure operational continuity.
  • Manage inventories and ensure proper use of materials and supplies.
  • Verify compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.

What is your role?

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and hygiene standards across production areas.
  • Manage and control the human and material resources assigned to the area.
  • Drive production efficiency by monitoring hourly performance and key production metrics.
  • Implement actions aimed at reducing scrap and material waste.
  • Ensure compliance with the guidelines established by the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Follow up on and close corrective and preventive actions resulting from audits, incidents, or process deviations.
  • Train and develop personnel in production processes, safety, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with support functions such as Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Maintenance to ensure operational continuity.
  • Manage inventories and ensure the proper use of materials and supplies.
  • Verify compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
Experiences/Education - Required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Production, including problem-solving responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience leading and supervising personnel.
  • Knowledge of production efficiency and scrap reduction.
  • Experience monitoring hourly production metrics.
  • Knowledge of quality standards.
  • Experience in material and inventory control.
  • Experience implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Knowledge and application of safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to train and develop personnel.
  • Experience in extrusion manufacturing is highly desired.
Experiences/Education - Desired
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (FDA).
  • Knowledge of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Participation in process improvement initiatives or fixture design.
  • Knowledge of customer-specific and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485.
  • Experience in plastic molding.
  • Knowledge of labor law (LFT).
  • Schedule flexibility.
