Flextronics - The Flex Company is seeking a Production Supervisor in Guadalajara, Mexico to lead manufacturing operations on a shift. You will direct several lines, coach engineers and operators, and drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements in a highly technical environment.

The role emphasizes Lean practices (5S; continuous improvement), team leadership, and strong Microsoft Office proficiency, with intermediate English and a focus on safety and cost control.

Formación

• Completed education.
• Previous experience in similar positions.
• Experience in the electronics industry; automotive experience is a plus.
• Experience with 5S methodology.
• Knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies.
• Personnel management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Intermediate English level.

• Manage a team of professionals to meet quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness requirements.
• Review plant performance and advise on changes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot operational problems and advise on resolution.
• Coach operators to improve performance and capability.
• Develop proposals for plant improvements with engineers; support cost-improvement projects.
• Ensure safety and training for all manufacturing staff.

Job Summary Summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Supervisor located in Guadalajara, South.

General Purpose:

Responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality, and cost goals.

What a typical day looks like:

• Responsible for the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment.
• Manages a team of professionals (e.g., engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness requirements.
• Reviews daily/regularly plant operating performance, evaluate areas that may be impacting performance, and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies/quality.
• Troubleshoots/analyses operational problems and advises on their resolution.
• Holds regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding/capability.
• Evaluate ideas for plant improvements and work with qualified engineers to develop project proposals to encourage improvements and changes.
• Provides technical/operational advice to project teams.
• May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
• May train and coach junior operators and junior team supervisors Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.
• Initiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects.
• Assists in department budget planning and manage department expenses.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance of standards. Ensure that all manufacturing area personnel are trained and certified in their specific functions.
• Ensure that all manufacturing personnel adhere to all safety guidelines.
