Flex in Guadalajara seeks an Associate Production Supervisor to direct daily manufacturing operations on a shift, ensuring volume, quality and cost targets are met. You will lead a team of professionals, monitor plant performance, coach operators, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering to implement improvements and safe, efficient production.

This role requires strong communication in English, a background in operations, and the ability to prioritize schedules and drive cost

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in operations or equivalent experience.

Associate Production Supervisor, located in Guadalajara, North Campus. Reporting to Process Engineer, the Associate Production Supervisor will be in charge of directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality and cost goals.

Typical Day

• Manages the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and in charge of the lines’ success.
• Evaluates daily/regularly plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
• Guides a team of professionals to meet quality, cost, delivery and acknowledge requirements.
• Troubleshoots and explores operational problems and advises on their resolution. Guides regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational comprehension and capability.
• Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and contributes with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
• Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.
• May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
• Engages in training and coaching of junior operators.
• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.
• Initiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects.
• Assists in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing team members on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance of standards.

Experience

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in operations.
• English proficiency.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
