Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. in Mexico is seeking a production shift supervisor to oversee material processing, ensure execution of the production schedule, and monitor Kanban flow.

You will lead the shift team, coordinate with multiple departments, and report process irregularities to maintain targets. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering and experience in machining, with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machining processes for iron and aluminum cast parts, use of measuring equipment, blueprint reading and interpretation, knowledge of cutting tools, lathes, milling machines, and conventional machining equipment
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Machining area.

Responsibilities

• Verify that the material supplied by the warehouse is properly processed.
• Manage and supervise human resources throughout the entire shift.
• Monitor production progress and the flow of Jobs and Kanban.
• Report any irregularities in the processes.
• Ensure the execution of the production schedule released by Production Control.
• Coordinate with the involved departments to meet production targets and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Analyze production data and reports to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with the area's KPIs.
• Promote and drive compliance with 5S+1 standards within the department.
