Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production forecast based on master plan, timelines, material needs to define production requirements.
• Adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand and ensure material supplies meet changes.
• Produce revenue investigation and annual operating (AOP) plan and other forecast reports.
• Report on production status and issues to upper management.
• Liaise with operations to resolve daily production line disruptions and productivity issues.
• Develop and implement production control functions including Master Scheduling, Production Planning/Coordination, Shop Scheduling, and Dispatching.
• Develop material planning models to ensure proper material planning and optimal inventory positions for customer programs.
• Approve quantities, schedules and parts lists for material control to ensure timely ordering and issuance of materials.
• Maintain reports reflecting scheduling, methods, holding up performance and procedures.
• Interface with customers to ensure delivery dedications are met and coordinate with management.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Planning Manager (Electronics Industry) located in Juarez South Campus, Mexico.

The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing operational activities in the production floor, addressing bottlenecks and find solutions as well as attending improvement in processes to material flow and work orders.

What a typical day looks like:

• Develop and manage production forecast based on master plan, timelines, material needs to define production requirements based on plant capacity, which are aligned with company goals.
• Adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand, communicate updates to all relevant parties and ensure material supplies able to meet the changes
• Produces revenue investigation and annual operating (AOP) plan and other forecast reports.
• Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
• Liaise with operation team to resolve daily production line disruption and productivity issues.
• In charge of the development and implementation of the company’s production control functions including Master Scheduling, Production Planning/Coordination, Shop Scheduling, and Dispatching.
• Develop material planning models to ensure proper material planning and optimal inventory positions for customer programs. Utilizes models for defining material planning parameters for components.
• Approves quantities, schedules and parts list provided to the material control organization to ensure timely and complete ordering, receipt and issuance of production material requirements.
• Maintains reports to reflect scheduling, methods, holding up performance and process procedures.
• Interfaces with customers to ensure delivery dedications are met and with subordinates, functional peer group managers and senior management.
