Flextronics - The Flex Company in Guadalajara, Mexico is seeking a Production Planning Manager to lead production planning and control, coordinating material planning, scheduling, and risk communication to meet production goals.

The role requires an engineering or Bachelor's degree, ERP BAAN experience, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, plus leadership of planning teams. Intermediate English is expected; on-site work in manufacturing environment.

• Engineering degree or Bachelor's degree completed.
• Solid experience in production planning and production control within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading planning teams.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably BAAN, to support production planning, material follow‑up, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills for developing, maintaining, and analyzing reports related to production status, scheduling, performance, risks, and constraints.
• PowerPoint knowledge to prepare and present production metrics, updates, and key indicators to leadership.
• Knowledge of supermarket management.
• Intermediate English.

Responsabilidades

• Notifies Materials and Program Management of material situation that affect the attainment of the production plan.
• Maintains reports to reflect scheduling, methods, hold up performance and process procedures.
• Interfaces with warehousing and purchasing to expedite problem parts and to reschedule material deliveries that will result in excess inventory.
• Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management.
• In charge of the development and implementation of the company’s production control functions including Master Scheduling, Production Planning/Coordination, Shop Scheduling, and Dispatching.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Planning Manager located in Guadalajara, North. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Production Planning Manager role will be responsible for leading production planning and control activities to ensure production goals are met, including material planning follow‑up, schedule coordination, and communication of risks or constraints impacting the production plan.

What a typical day looks like:
