Job summary

Sensata Technologies is seeking a Production Planning Analyst in Mexico to develop and execute a supply chain that ensures on-time delivery, improved customer lead times, and enhanced financial performance. The role centers on capacity planning, production scheduling, and KPI reporting to site management.

Responsibilities

• Plan production for manufacturing lines and maintain routings.
• Generate production plans and shop orders; monitor capacity vs. forecast.
• Analyze requirements and plan capacity; run what-if scenarios.
• Identify production problems and implement recovery plans.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, purchasing, and customer service to meet needs.
• Expedite flow of materials and documents to meet schedule and customer expectations.
• Utilize ERP to develop and track KPIs; report to site management.
• Set finished goods inventory goals and review inventory models.

Job description

The Production Planning Analyst works on the holistic development and implementation of a supply chain that will produce sustained on time delivery performance, targeted customer lead time breakthroughs and optimized financial results. The Production Planner will ensure the Sales and Operations Planning processes efficiently achieve customer service levels.

General Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning production for manufacturing lines.
• Reviews and maintains manufacturing routings.
• Generates production plans and shop orders
• Analyzes requirements and plans for capacity based on forecast as well as what if scenarios
• Investigates and reports on potential production problems. Finds and implements solutions and recovery plans
• Holds key discussions and communication with production supervisors and purchasing, communicates with customer service to meet customer needs
• Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation
• Analyzes requirements and plans for capacity based on forecast as well as what if scenarios
• Utilizes ERP system to develop, track and maintain key metrics to monitor production performance. Reports KPIs to site management
• Set finished good inventory goals, review new inventory requirements, and ensure compliance to existing inventory models
• Develop manufacturing models and corresponding inventory strategies specific to the business that satisfy requirements for inventory, operations costs, lead time to customers and delivery targets

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
